The.Element
High School Ministry

The.Element is our ministry devoted to students grades 9-12. We offer an inviting atmosphere that provides students the space to experience a growing relationship with Jesus Christ while guiding them in their faith in such a way that they will learn to drive, reaching outside the doors of the church to share Christ with our world.

Sunday.Edition

Sundays 10:15 - 11:00 a.m. (All year long)

Meet in the Barn to talk. teach, worship, and learn all about life, faith, and the like with people your own age.

The.Element

Sundays 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. (September through May)

The.Element creates an inviting atmosphere for high school students to have fun together, build relationships, and learn of God’s truth through teaching and experience with other students in Pittsburgh, breaking barriers of social status, gender, and faith development.

What the Night Looks Like …

- Hang Out with delectable snacking opportunities
- Connect-Time where students and leaders connect through group activities
- Discussion Groups give us a time to talk about life and the evening’s topic
- Worship with an amazing band that focuses our hearts for the evening
- Teaching is combined with experiences that cover a multitude of areas in life from worldview to peer pressure and everything in between.

Areopagus

Wednesdays 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. (in The Barn)

The Areopagus were a group of thinkers that questioned the unknown god in Acts 17 and Paul brought truth to these students of truth.  The Areopagus always asked ‘Why?’ and we want to do the same.  We refuse to let our ‘Why?s’ keep us from knowing God and His love for us more.

Join us as we ask Why together … with just a few guidelines:

  • There is no elusive “They” … if you say “They say” you better know who “they” are.
  • Be respectful of the floor.
  • There are no dumb questions.
  • Be on time … we start at 6:30 sharp!
  • Bring a Bible, notebook, and pen
  • Be ready to back up what you say!

Check out the Areopagus page for notes from past weeks and to see what this week’s topics are.
